Many thanks to all who attended the Tour Information Evening on Monday evening. It was a great opportunity to set our plans and to respond to individual questions. If you were unable to attend you can still keep in touch with our website/ twitter/ newsletter announcements.
Since the results of the auditions were announced last week we have had a rush of applicants for places on the tour – all have been accepted – taking the total on tour to 74. We are eager to take as many as possible. If you know of someone who is still undecided please encourage them to get in touch with me very soon.
The attached letter is for members who are NEW TO THE TOUR – either existing PYO members or new auditionees. It sets out the arrangements for paying a deposit and then for setting up a Standing Order. The deposit for all who are NEW TO THE TOUR is due by 28th October – as announced in the letter handed out (and left behind by many!) at the auditions.
If you have already paid your deposit and set up your standing order – there is nothing more for you to do at this stage. (You can ignore the attachment completely).
I can also confirm that the recent letter to the ‘Friends of Perth Youth Orchestra’ (mentioning a change in the bank sort code) does NOT apply to Tour payments.
Fund raising continues – with a Bag Pack at Morrison’s Supermaket on Saturday 3rd October/ Coffee Morning from 10-12 on Saturday 31st October in the North Church Hall/ and our Family Ceilidh on Saturday 5th December in St Matthew’s Church Hall. If you are able to help out/ sell tickets/ attend any of these please get in touch and I will direct your support to the member of the committee responsible.
