PYO Secretary, Gosia Stanton writes, “Last night I had the most beautiful music experience at the Concert Hall – our Annual Concert. I can still feel the thrill of the music. It always amazes me how it is possible for our children to technically learn all this music in one week! And so many of them also perform on Saturday as part of The Big Band and The Wind Orchestra. Absolutely amazing! This success was due to All the Tutors who organised the music camp, and in particular Ms Lorna McGovern who at the last minute picked up the baton and made the last nights event possible. I would like to thank them all.”
“We were so pleased to see Allan Young attending the concert, and enjoying it from a different perspective – more relaxing perhaps? It is so good that he is on the way to full recovery, and we wish him once again that he soon returns to full strength.”
“After the concert I heard many complements about the soloists and the orchestra, one in particular from Mr Gordon Murch, the Adjudicator of the Concerto Auditions. When asked if he enjoyed the concert he said – “Are you joking? It was absolutely amazing!”. “
“I would like to thank all the young musicians (your children) for this beautiful music. Yesterday’s evening was another great PYO concert. I hope you all agree.”
