I hope everyone has had a well-earned break and have enjoyed the long holidays despite the weather.
Below are details of rehearsals and concerts for our Autumn Season.
August Rehearsals
17 August – St John’s Academy, 6.00pm – 8.15pm
*22 August – St John’s Academy, 2pm-5pm
*23 August – St John’s Academy, 2pm-4.30pm
24 August – St John’s Academy, 6.00pm – 8.15pm
*I am aware that many pupils may have Saturday/Sunday jobs but if we have as many players attending when they can this will help us to properly prepare for our two finale Concerts on 26 & 31 August.
Concerts
Wednesday 26 August – Concert in Greyfriars Church, Edinburgh, 7.30pm
Monday 31 August – Concert in Perth Concert Hall, 7.30pm
Wednesday 26 August: Edinburgh Festival, Greyfriars Church
Buses leave prompt from Music Centre, North Inch Community Campus, Perth at 12.00pm. Kinross children will be picked up at 12.30pm at Kinross park and ride, returning approx 10.10pm. Perth pupils will return approx 10.40pm.
Please bring a packed lunch.
Evening meal. The orchestra will again be attending an Edinburgh restaurant this year and once again, as a result of subsidy from PYO funds, the charge will be £5.00 per person. (NB. Payment will be collected at the door of the restaurant in Edinburgh).
The PYO committee have proposed that we run a bus for parents through to Edinburgh and back for the concert on the 26 August at a cost of £5.00 per person. Please contact Susannah Rae on scrae@stirling.co.uk or text 07884340158 if you wish to reserve a seat on the bus. Parents can pay on the bus. Spaces are available on a first come first served basis.
Parents taking the transport provided are asked to arrive at the North Inch Community Campus at 5.15pm as the bus will be leaving at 5.30pm sharp.
Monday 31 August: Concert, Perth Concert Hall
Rehearsal, 4.00pm. Please bring a packed tea.
