Thank you all for working so hard at music camp and I felt the two concerts on Saturday and Sunday were two of the best I can remember following music camp. Congratulations to all and to our two soloists on two excellent performances.
We now have a busy remainder of the session with Perth Festival of the Arts commitments, tour rehearsals and tour, professional recording session at Perth Concert Hall in August and our usual Autumn concerts in Edinburgh & Perth.

May Rehearsals
Monday 9 May – Rehearsal, St John’s Academy, 6.00pm – 8.15pm
Monday 16 May – Rehearsal, St John’s Academy, 6.00pm – 8.15pm
Sunday 22 May
Perth Festival of Arts Service, St John’s Kirk Perth.
Rehearsal starts @ 9.30am in St John’s Kirk.
Programme – Hymns; Opening with Malcolm Arnold , Four Scottish Dances; Opening of Kinnoull Symphony for offering; Dvorak Scottish Dance No.8 for finale and then Lord of the Dance for playout.
No further rehearsals in May.
June Rehearsals
Monday 6 June – Full Orchestra Rehearsal, St John’s Academy, 6.00pm – 8.15pm.
Monday 13 June – Full Orchestra Rehearsal, St John’s Academy, 6.00pm – 8.15pm.

Please note all PYO members that were not at camp should try to get to as many rehearsals as possible to get used to new music. I am aware that there are many rehearsal commitments at a very busy time with exams etc. Please try to attend as many as possible while still preparing for SQA exams.
